Intimate Wedding & Elopement Photographer in Valencia

Not every wedding needs a hundred guests, a long banquet, and a full production team. Some of the most beautiful weddings I have photographed were just two people in wedding outfits, walking through Valencia's historic centre with no agenda and no schedule — and images that captured exactly what that day actually felt like.

As an elopement and intimate wedding photographer in Valencia, I specialise in this format precisely because it suits a very specific kind of couple: one that values the day itself over the performance of it. If that sounds like you, read on.

An Elopement in Valencia — What It Actually Looks Like

An elopement session with me is two hours, the two of you in your wedding outfits, and Valencia's historic architecture as your backdrop. We move through the city at a relaxed pace — the golden stone of El Carmen, the grand civic buildings of the old town, the quiet squares that open up unexpectedly between narrow streets — and I document what happens between you as you walk.

No venue, no schedule, no coordinator. Just the most cinematic city in Spain and two people who chose each other over the formality of a traditional wedding day.The result is a full gallery of intimate, editorial wedding portraits that look nothing like standard wedding photography — and everything like a film still from a story worth telling.

Why One Photographer Is Enough — And When It Isn't

An intimate wedding or elopement with up to 20 guests is something I can cover completely and beautifully alone. The format is simple, the locations are known to me, and the storytelling is focused entirely on the two of you.

A large-scale wedding is a fundamentally different discipline. When you have 50 or more guests, multiple locations, a full ceremony, a banquet, speeches, dancing and family portraits — one photographer cannot be in five places at once. You need a dedicated team, a second shooter, drone coverage, and full-day coordination from a team that has done this hundreds of times.

For large-scale wedding photography in Valencia, I invite you to explore Darista — wedding photography in Valencia — a dedicated brand built specifically for couples who want premium full-day coverage, analogue film photography and drone footage included in every package. If your wedding is an event, Darista is the right team for it. If your wedding is a moment, I am.

FAQ

What is the difference between an elopement and an intimate wedding?

An elopement is typically just the two of you — no guests, no ceremony beyond your own. An intimate wedding might include a small group of closest family or friends, a simple civil or symbolic ceremony, and a relaxed session afterwards. Both formats work beautifully in Valencia and I cover both in the same way.

How long does an elopement session take?

Typically 2-3 hours, which gives us enough time to move through two or three locations in the historic centre and capture a full range of light and mood. If you want more time or additional locations outside the city, we can discuss an extended session.

Can we have a small ceremony as part of the elopement session?

Yes. If you are planning a symbolic ceremony or a simple civil registration in Valencia, we can build the session around it — photographing the ceremony itself and continuing with a couple session through the city centre afterwards.

Do you cover destination elopements outside Valencia?

Yes — I am available for elopements across the Costa Blanca and wider Spain. Travel outside Valencia is covered by a small additional fee depending on the location.
