Newborn & Baby Photography in Valencia

The first year passes faster than any other. As a photographer in Valencia specialising in newborn and baby sessions, I document this chapter the way it actually feels — tender, a little chaotic, and absolutely irreplaceable. From the first days at home with your newborn to your baby's first steps on a Valencia beach, these are the moments worth preserving properly.

Newborn Sessions — The First 20 Days

The newborn period is over almost before it begins. In-home newborn sessions take place entirely in your own space — because that is where your baby is safest and most settled, and where you as parents feel most naturally yourselves.

I never use props, poses, or equipment that requires handling your baby independently. You hold, you cuddle, you simply be together — and I document what happens. Tiny fingers wrapped around yours, your baby asleep on your chest, the morning light coming through the bedroom window. These are the frames that matter.

In-home sessions are kept gentle and unhurried — we work entirely around your baby's feeding and sleeping rhythm, with no pressure and no schedule to rush us.

Baby Sessions — 3 to 8 Months

By three months your baby has found their smile — and by eight months they are pulling themselves up, reaching for everything, and completely impossible to look away from. Baby sessions at this age are all about energy, curiosity, and genuine reaction.

Depending on the season and your baby's temperament, we can shoot at home in natural light, in the soft shade of the Turia Gardens, or on a quiet stretch of Valencia's coastline near El Saler. There is something magical about a baby discovering grass for the first time, or feeling sand between their fingers at the edge of the Mediterranean.

Sitter Sessions — 6 to 9 Months

When your baby can sit up independently but isn't yet walking, you have a brief and incredibly photogenic window. Sitter sessions capture this exact moment — your baby upright, alert, expressive, and completely themselves.

These sessions work beautifully at home with simple, clean surroundings, or outdoors in a park setting. I keep props minimal and backgrounds neutral so the focus stays entirely on your baby's face and personality. The results are some of the most timeless images I create.

A Photographer for Every Chapter

Some of my favourite client relationships began at a wedding. Then came a maternity session — that quiet, expectant glow just before everything changes. Then a newborn session in the same apartment, with the same couple, now three. Then a baby crawling across their living room floor. Then a sitter session in the Turia Gardens.

This is what I love most about this work — not individual sessions, but becoming the visual memory of a family across years. If you are just beginning this chapter, I hope to still be your photographer many chapters from now.

Growing Up in Valencia — Finding the Perfect Setting

Outdoor sessions with babies require a completely different kind of location knowledge. I need ground that is soft enough for crawling, shade that protects without making the light flat, and spaces quiet enough that nothing pulls your baby's attention away from just being themselves.

Over years of working with Valencia families, I have found the spots that consistently deliver — from a particular corner of the Jardín del Real where the morning light is impossibly gentle, to a quiet stretch of El Saler beach where babies can feel sand for the first time without a single stranger walking through the frame.

For newborn sessions I always come to you — wherever you are in Valencia or the surrounding area. Your home is the only location that makes sense for those first precious days.

As your baby grows and your family expands, family photography in Valencia becomes the natural next chapter — and I will already know your children by heart.

FAQ

When is the best time to book a newborn session in Valencia?

Ideally during your pregnancy — between 28 and 32 weeks. Newborn sessions take place in the first 20 days of life, and availability during that window can be limited. Booking in advance means everything is confirmed and ready before your baby arrives.

Can siblings and parents be included in the session?

Absolutely — and I always encourage it. Some of the most beautiful newborn frames include an older sibling meeting the baby for the first time, or both parents together in the first quiet moments of this new chapter. These are the images families return to most.

Where do newborn sessions take place?

Always at your home in Valencia. This keeps your newborn in a familiar, safe environment and allows the session to follow your baby's natural rhythm — feeding, sleeping, and settling on their own terms. I bring everything needed and work entirely around you.

At what age should I book a baby or sitter session?

For baby sessions I recommend anywhere between 3 and 8 months — when your baby is alert and expressive but still immobile enough to stay in one place. For sitter sessions, the sweet spot is 6 to 9 months when they can sit independently. Book 3 to 4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and location in Valencia.

Every Stage Deserves to Be Documented

The newborn days, the first smile, the first time they sit up on their own — each of these moments has a beginning and an end, and they do not come back. If you are expecting or have a baby in their first year, let's make sure none of it goes undocumented.
